October 1, 2009

I can’t decide if I like this a lot or love it, but I’ve watched it three times so far in the past two days. Check out the slightly less awesome (but still awesome, especially the first clip) Episode 1 as well. Hope they keep making more.

Iranian Street Art Exhibit

September 25, 2009

Nice NPR story on a current Iranian street art exhibit in Los Angeles. I’m trying to talk myself into checking it out, even if the style is a little too Banksy for my taste. I love that they had to sneak this stuff through customs though — and that some of the pieces didn’t make it!

Ink Calendar

August 20, 2009

Check out this very cool calendar that fills each numbered day by itself. Unfortunately this is not something that you can buy, but rather an art work by Oscar Diaz. But hey, if you’re in Madrid, it’s apparently on display at CĂrculo de Bellas Artes through October.

New Obama Poster

August 10, 2009

Apparently someone has been going around LA and posting a different kind of Obama poster lately. I’m kind of impressed by the creativity (though the weak font use and odd red border suggest we may have an amatuer at work). I don’t really agree with the message, but am all for political discourse through street art, bring it on!

Weird Fishes

August 10, 2009

One of the more impressive uses of stop motion I’ve seen in a while, I really like the feel and look of this video, kind of makes me think of the the late ’90’s, I have no idea why.

I didn’t really care for the film when I saw it a few years ago, but this looks pretty neat.

Oh, and this is cool.
