Haven’t been big into The Flaming Lips since freshman year, but this is pretty damn infectious. Makes me want to dig up (or more likely download) some of their older albums. It also makes me want to buy a Madonna album. What?

Pretty impressive Neil Young impersonation by Mr. Fallon. I generally don’t stay up late enough to catch his show, a feat further complicated by the fact that I don’t have a TV, but that notwithstanding, this clip would certainly make me at least think about switching the channel over. Possibly. Maybe.

“Used To Be”

How come no one told me about this Beach House track, or their upcoming new album? Here’s another new track that’s not as good, but maybe it just needs a fun little video like this.

Is this really a new band, or is it just an extension of his solo project? I think the latter, especially since they apparently played his entire solo album — twice! But regardless, putting six question marks on the marquee, does it get any better than that?

My Boys

This would have gone from an 8.5 to a 9 had they not changed the lyrics. Maybe it’s cause I listened to the Magnetic Fields too much in college, but I’m a sucker for a cover where the gender of the singer changes, but the lyrics remain the same.

Not sure why, but I’ve been revisiting Deep Cuts today (much to my sister’s shagrin) and I stumbled upon this video. I’m a sucker for these retro video mash-ups.

Also somewhat related: these guys are stylin’ but completely insane.

Weird Fishes

One of the more impressive uses of stop motion I’ve seen in a while, I really like the feel and look of this video, kind of makes me think of the the late ’90’s, I have no idea why.
